Hardanger Embroidery

Hardanger is a type of embroidery that originates from Norway. It consists of counted thread stitches, drawn thread work and some pulled thread embroidery. Traditionally it was used on clothing and linens and was done with white thread on white fabric. The modern versions are usually more colourful.
